Where do you start
Where do you start
Have you ever thought to yourself, “What am I going to do with my life?”
This question went through my mind constantly. I would go from job-to-job trying to figure out what can I do with the rest of my life just to escape the 9 to 5 life. However, this never happened at first.
When I worked for a few employers, all I wanted was to move up the corporate ladder, but that never happened. After I quit or resigned, all I could think of is the “WHY?” Question. Why won’t they hire me as a manager or supervisor? I did everything that was required of me, but for some reason, it wasn’t enough.
Every employer I worked for hired others to supervise or manage. At first, I would be upset knowing well, I’ve done everything that was required of me to become a manager. But for some odd reason, I wasn’t what they were looking for. After a few jobs, I decided maybe God or the universe telling me something different.
Since then, I decided it would be best to do my own thing. So, I stretched my wings and started my own business and brands. The only problem was, I had little to no knowledge of starting a business or what kind of business I could start.
Even though I worked for several employers, I was tired of the bull crap, lies, and drama.
I’m sure you can relate or understand. Starting something from nothing has its challenges. There is so much researching, studying, applying, failing, starting over, and so on. I was told by successful people that only 1% of business start-ups become successful over time. The other 90% quit when problems appear or happen during their initial start-up phase.
Do your research
Research is one of the most important part of becoming successful in anything you do. Most people who don’t do their research will struggle miserably and possibly throw in the towel. Majority of successful people, if not all successful people do their homework before getting involved with anything.
