ANGLO-CELT ENTERTAINMENT
January 10, 2008
"Lonely Man Saloon" is so well written that I can actually see in my minds eye the saloon that Tony is singing about with all of the characters so vividly portrayed. His daughter Margaret is featured on "Man on the Moon" which also is very vivid story with Margaret's vocals adding a very distinctive feel to the song. The final track "Walk in the Wind' is an up tempo blue grass number that just gets the toe tapping. Tony has written all of the nine tracks on this album enlisting the help of his daughter Margaret and son Conor in the process. Each of the songs on " Emerald Isle Express" have a real message and Tony's use of languare and rhyming couplet is really clever."

IRISH NEWSPAPER MUSIC REVIEW 'OCTAVE,' ANGLO-CELT
March 2, 2006
"...himself has said that it is strangely humorous and I must agree. 'Humours of Ballyconnell' is a collection of unique songs which are, in truth, comic poems set to music....material for these poetic songs was inspired from... childhood growing up in the Ballyconnell area."

"...for my money it is well worth a listen if only to get an earful of the opening track 'Rooney's Mini Van'."

"McCabe has traveled the world singing and performing for more than 15 years. He took a sabbatical to raise his children. Someone once thought that with all my songwriting, singing and CDs, I must be rich....Actually having your son and daughter in the band, it's as rich as it gets."
News & Events:

Singer-Songwriter Tony McCabe does it again with his latest release Emerald Isle Express. Step on board this CD and you are on a musical journey you'll never forget!

He writes and sings about everything from flying pub cars to gypsies, highwaymen to the man in the moon. His story-telling in songs and unexpected endings leave the listener wondering - could that have really happened? Only McCabe knows for sure!

Tony's at it again!!! He has already written many songs for his next CD, not yet titled. One is a spiritual song called The Tinker's Prayer. Another is a song called The Redhaired Stranger about a patriotic immigrant. These melodies will be your friends forever. McCabe's music has been compared to Dylan, Willie Nelson, and Robert Earl Keen. Another song is a fantasy about a Leprachaun In His Garden. Or is it a fantasy???

Tony's live band, Emerald Isle Express is getting rave reviews with daughter Margaret on lead guitar and vocals. Son Conor plays electric bass and vocals. Their live shows are filled with humor and stories.
